Two major taboos in interpersonal relationships

Imposing one's own will on others will bring them pain; building one's own happiness on others will bring oneself pain. These are the two major taboos in interpersonal relationships.

Traditional Chinese culture is mainly about interpersonal relationships, but unfortunately, its concepts and principles violate these two major taboos. For example, obeying the orders of parents, continuing the family line, and so on. Some people believe that the starting point and focus of traditional Chinese ethical culture is to maintain the rule of the ruling class, rather than human nature and science. In fact, it has brought more conflicts and pain to interpersonal relationships. These conflicts and pain are suppressed and silenced (some are beautified), and harmony and order are only superficial phenomena. If it weren't for the teachings of those few sages that made people's thoughts and behaviors become distorted, everything would operate according to the laws of nature (human nature). For example, the Western world does not have an ethical culture like ours, and their interpersonal relationships are not worse than ours.
